Should I install Windows 2k on my HP Pavillion 433mhz Celeron Laptop?

it has 196mb of ram (i added my own 128) and it originally came with windows 98...

i love win2k in comparison to win98/me/xp on my desktop

would there be a nice improvement if i were to try it out on this laptop?

I'm gonna say no. A pentium 433 would be alright at best but the celeron just really puts a dent in it. I like 2k too better than 98 but I'd put 98 on the lappy.

You should, i recommend 256MB ram but what you have should be enough. 433Mhz is alright for win2k but not very good with 3d

you'll be alright. I run windows xp on a celly 600 latop with 256 megs of ram. When I only had 128 megs I was running w2k with no problems.

If it is an Pavillion or Omnibook, it will require a BIOS flash
to get it to work with Win2K.

Also, make sure there is a Driver Pack available for your particular
model as HP's support of older mobiles is horrendous.
