Should i install DirectX 9.1?

what's the point? is it stable? do u guys get better results? i just got a new 9500 non pro

I saw big improvement after installing DX9 from DX8.1 in WinXP on my system. P4, 4400, etc... So yah I would install it if I am you.

It was a big improvment in version number. 9 is so much better than 8.

Big improvement? your card is only a DX8 card... I thought that is what making the switch was all about.. the hardware.. if you had DX9 video card (R9700) then you could switch. if not, stay at 8.1.
now I am thinking of trying 9. :p
