Speed difference? Heck ya, unless of course you already have DX8, in which case I wouldn't know. It speeded me up substantially.


Oh yeah, from my experience microshaft's site is faster than download.com for DX8.

what version of dx do you have now?
suggest you stay with dx7a if that's what you've got at present &amp; you're not using win2k. if you already have dx8 then do the update as it fixes some gamepad issues!
