Should I have gotten tested for TB?

The letter urged me to go and get tested. My reaction was to throw it away. I have recently mentioned this to a few people jokingly and they think I was stupid to ignore it. Should I have gotten tested.
 
The test isn't a big deal. They give you a shot near your wrist. If it turns red where you were injected, you may have TB.
Or something like that. I had the test once.

It's called a Mantoux Skin Test. It was a requirement for my job.

When I run the tests, I usually lose a little just from the arrays.

When calculating mass storage, I always have to remind myself that TB is 1000GB and TiB is the traditional 1024GB. If you're running Xiotech, EMC/Clariion, or IBM Shark you should always go by 1000.
 
Yeah, and a positive TB test for what appears to be a healthy person isn't really a big deal. You'll take some medication for a period of time, they retest and you should come back clean. What happens (to most healthy people) is that your body "walls off" the TB in a small spot in your lungs. The TB stays dormant, pretty much beaten down and nonthreatening but still very much alive. If something happens and you become immuno-suppressed (HIV, major illness/surgery) the TB can "break out" of it's "jail cell" and cause full blown TB (never fun). I'm making this far more simple than it really is, but finding out your status and getting cleared up could REALLY benefit you down the road.

Not necessarily, you can go a long time if you're in otherwise good help.
 
No question it was extremely stupid to blow off getting tested back when you were exposed, but not going to get it taken care of now would only compound the issue ... better late then never!
