Reminds me of my folks. My dad is always making cracks like that with my mom. Her first and only response is to laugh, because it's funny. I think being married for 30 years helps a bit.

Example: When I was about 10 years old, my dad bought a 30" TV. We get it home, set it up, and as my dad and I are watching TV, my mom comes in.

Mom: "Wow. I think that TV's about as big as my ass."
Dad: "There's no way that TV's that big."

And just for the record, my mom is just a little petite thing, she was just playing the "I'm a woman, so I have to call myself fat" card.

I think you all must be involved in humorless marriages. We kid a lot. She thought it was funny enough to tell a friend who also thought it was hilarious.

My wife is like my best friend. We have a great marriage and celebrated our 15th anniversary yesterday.
