Will I notice that much difference in games? They seem fine now..

games load in quicker for me. I have 768mb and when I had 256 moved to 512 the games did load in quicker. Especiallly important for net gaming! Got to get in to the map *THAT* little bit quicker:)

wait till the price gets back to around $30-40 for that same exact stick. i paid that much for micron brand 256MB DDR-2100 back in october. and maybe when the price gets that low, just get a 512MB stick.

Its a tough price to pay but ram is king in XP. You WILL notice a difference, and if you don't you're not using your computer for enough stuff. Get it~!

I've got you topped, at work I'm using an HP Vectra VIII (I think) P2/400 with 64MB RAM running NT and soon we'll be running W2K w00t!

i wouldn't count on prices dropping, they're already selling below costs, and factories have adjusted output.

YES. 256 and XP is cutting it kindof close if you are a "real" geek and have a butt load of apps/services going at once.

there is no such thing as too much RAM until you get to a point where you have 1 GB physical free.
