Should I go with a Peltier?

I currently have a celeron2 566@ 995mhz on a BX133-RAID. It is running at default 1.7v. It is a cC0.
Would a peltier help me get to 1070mhz? If so, what kind of peltier should I get? Can I use my Arctic Cooler with it? I don't want to use water cooling.

I think you have a fantastic overclock right now and while a peltier might give you another small bump, it also might be worse without watercooling. Peltier 72W + Processor ~40W = 112W of heat dissipated into your case, which will make your case temp go up which will make your hsf perform worse. All of that kinda makes it really not worth it unless you have a major windtunnel case and you can move the kinda air needed to draw away double your current heat.

So its really not worth it.

I don't think it is worth it by buying a peltier for an additional 100 MHz increase. Peltiers aren't exactly the cheapest items in store and they release a lot of heat so you would need some sort of dissipation. Still, its not worth it buying a peltier - if you want better performance, get a new chip!

I won't get the peltier then. I don't want it to heat up my room:)

I agree, peliter's are like playing with fire. Expensive and a good way to accidentially fry your chip. I have some experiance with them, we use them at work.

I will make a 120mm blowhole and see if that will help me overclock higher.
