should i go for a KT7 or wait a while?

i don't have a whole lot of money to spend on this system, so i was going to go for a KT7(non RAID) duron 700(or 600 if it's cheaper/i can find it) and an Alpha PAL6032(or whatever the number is ) i need to be able to support the alpha and have multiplier adjustment abilities(DIP switches or in BIOS, it doesn't bother me either way) any boards coming out which should be somewhat cheaper/give me better bang for buck? i am going to be building this after christmas(with xmas money) thanks for the help

If your on a budget go for the Epox 8KTA2 or the MSI K7Y ProA2, both are cheaper than the non-raid KT7 and both seem to be better(IMO).

Don't get the Alpha. It's too heavy. Get a Globalwin FOP32-1. I just ordered a K7T Pro2A myself from my Mom & Pop shop near the Byward market.

hehe, don't get a Fop 32 - get a TaiSol CGK742092. It's quieter and more effective
