Should i get verizon over comcast or rcn cable?

I just moved so i'm thinking i might try out verizon since they lowered their price to $34 for 1.5 megabit cable. The three things i'm concerned about are a) Do they give you a static IP and b) How do their newsservers stack up to comcasts or rcn's? I want all the newservers i had with comcast (read: mp3's/vcd's/etc) and good retention time and 3) How does their connection stability/speed compare with comcast in the massachusetts area?

stick with comcast...

you'll regret going to verizon .... especially when you need to use that dialup feature to connect... not to mention it disconnects you if you're idle for a bit of time.

I would check with verizon to see how far you are going to be away form the CO's office. If you are un 12,000 feet, then I suggest giving it a try. It's really nice that they actually lowered their prices and giving higher speeds instead of raising them like comcast has.

yes, but if you have a router it will maintain the connection.

however, i'd stay with comcast if i were you. noone in this area NJ prefers verizon over Comcast.

also Verizon does not give you static IP's. but then neither does comcast.
