Should i get the

<< Should i get the Desktop Theatre 5.1 DT2200 ??? >>

Depends on a lot of factors... what kind of a sound card will you be notching up the DT to? What kind of output would you have going towards the card? Because the problem that you will get w/ such a setup is the optical output that you would be hindered w/o.

I personally do not suggest a DT2200 as a HT solution for a PC, due to the fact that it seems to be grossly underpowered in 2 particular areas - CENTER output and SUBWOOFER. Even w/ the DT3200 you're not getting what you might want to call an adequate HT setup. I personally was looking at the DT series a while back when I shopping for a HT setup... but I decided against the idea of PC oriented speakers to go as my living room speakers 🙂

Another question is how much you are willing to shell out for the setup... I personally recommend that if you're shopping for something around the DT2200's price range, that you go to YAMAHA and take a look at their 5.1 solution - it has a lot of the same features that you'd look for in a HT set up(DTS/DD, etc) and it is comprised w/ YAMAHA's sound synth.. forget the name - something like YMT - I think 🙂

Good luck
