Should i get rid of my sound card with XP?

I have a Monster Sound MX400 from Diamond as a sound card.

Since I can't find drivers past 98 for it should I just get rid of it and use the onboard sound on my mobo?

When i tried XP before i kept getting lock ups and random restarts.

Would axing the Monster help the lockup problem?


I am planning on getting a new sound card soon.

I don't know about the Monster but why an Audigy? Creative has gone to crap....get a Santa Cruz
