on newegg they got patriot pc 4000 memory dual kit 1 gb for 179.00 and the 3200 is 183.00
1. I see that the timings of the 4000 are looser of course, but you can tighten those up if you run it at lower speed right?
2. Can you run it at lower speeds easily i see that the voltage on the 4000 is 2.8 and the voltage on the 3200 is 2.6, can the 4000 be just plugged in and run just as easily as the 3200 or does it require the extra .2 volts to be stable?
i might add that i do not plan to overclock, but why not get the faster ram just incase they ever make DDR 500 stock mobos.
