i use my computer for games mostly. i just thought having 2 gigs would be cool double what most people have in the forums and i thought it would load cs faster and such open stuff faster. ok lets say i get 1gig should i get the one gig stick or the two 512's?

CAD programs and the like use 2GB

and MMO games, which you dont play. If you're overclocking definitely just get one gig.

i wont be overclocking its a sff.

edit: i only play first person shooters (fps).

the only game i can really stick with is cs 1.6 and i am getting a x800xl for it.

If you want stuff like that to run faster get a better hard drive

ram is for holding temporary things while hard drive holds permanent things that are slower to retrieve
