So is the keycard a one-time use activation? Like if you need to format your computer then that's it, you will need a new license to use the software?

There is detail on the new Key Card system on this site:

http://oem.microsoft.com/script/contentpage.aspx?pageid=566003

A Key Card appears to only activate one copy of Office on a pre-loaded PC where the demo/trial has factory installed. If, for instance, you replace the hard drive and have to restore from a manufacturer's disc, its unclear whether or not Office will be part of that restore. According to the wording below, there does appear to be a way to "temporarily" make a backup of the Activated Office install, so I think reinstall should be possible:

Customers also temporarily have the ability to download a backup copy for reinstallation of the image on the same PC.

However, I will be recommending that my clients away from Key Cards - in an emergency, nothing beats physical install media. :)

It will hurt if you're not a fan of the shitty ribbons they added in O2K7 since now Outlook 2K10 has one as well.

I love Office 2010 but the ribbon is a bit of a setback in Outlook. Toolbars can still be useful and more natural feeling then the ribbon in some circumstances.

Isn't the ribbon hugely more customizable/configurable? I've only used OFF07 just enough to go "OK, where did everything go?" I'm still using Office 2000 and occasionally 2003. I did purchase four copies of OFF07 STD when Microsoft was having that half-off promotion a few months ago, but haven't used any.
