Should I get dual 15" LCDs or one 19" LCD?

Of those three - personally, I'd go with the NEC

EDIT: You might want to look at these as well. I know the two big ones there are 17's, but they have the same max resolution - 1280x1024 - as the three monitors listed in your post. Keep an eye on Dell and the Hot Deals forum here for a good LCD deal, if you can afford to wait a little while.

IMO, a 17" or 18.1" @ 1280x1024 is fine, but anything larger (19 or 20 inch) should be 1600x1200 - like the new one that Dell just introduced.

I really want a 19" but it's $555. The proview has a $50 rebate and looks like it may be a good deal. I dunno how good proview is though.

Last week there was a guy selling a 19" Dell LCD for about $555 shipped in the FS/FT forum.

With a little patience you might be able to find a good deal from Dell directly. They seem to be popping up every couple weeks it seems like.

go with the single 19. with the 2x15 setup, you'll regret the lower vertical resolution if you do any amount of typing - term papers/reports, programming, etc. This is why I ended up buying a 17" when I found a good deal. I started out with a 15, and it worked well. But it got on my nerves when I was programming because I wanted to be able to see more of the code without having to scroll back and forth all the time. I didn't want to hook my 19" CRT up again; that would take up the vast majority of the realestate left on my desk. So I started looking for a 17" instead.

The Dell 1504FPs I bought for work rotate. Then, you can use NVRotate (or the comparable ATi product) and rotate them for a full size document page.

Good point; I didn't think about that...

are there any games where you can use dual monitors? I'm thinking RON or AOE2 would be much easier w/ two monitors. On one monitor have your village, on the other have whatever battle you are fighting.

You should get dual 17" lcd that's best or if you don't have enough money, get one 17inch for main one 15 inch for 2nd monitor..
