Should I get an Xbox or Gamecube?

I have $50 worth of Best Buy gift certificates and I will try to use 10% customer appreciation coupon tomorrow or Sunday. I tend to want the Gamecube for some reason....but the Xbox can be a DVD player on another of my televisions. Opinions pllleeeeeeeeeeeezzzz!!!!

I like my cube, but its all about the type of games you like. If you want resident evil, get a cube, if you want Halo get a box, etc...

yes...Halo would be a required purchase...Blockbuster has an additional 25% off used games, plus I have a 25% off rewards coupon. A used Halo would be sweet. Any truth to the rumor that Xbox may drop in price again?

yes...Resident Evil would be a required purchase...if Xbox is really gonna drop in price again I would definitely get Gamecube for less than 100!

Make your choice based on games.

BTW, the price difference could turn out to be bigger than you think. I bought a GameCube a couple of days ago and love it to death. I got the console, 3 wireless controllers, 1 memory card (necessary for most games), and 3 game titles for about $700 CDN.

Really depends on your preference of games and how many accessories you need to buy. For me, consoles add up to be more than most people since I need to buy extra controllers.

I already have a PS2 and a modded PSOne!!! And a Dreamcast!!! also a Sega Genesis and an original Atari!! No N64 though.....not sure why I don't ? (that Atomic Purple is kewl lookin!!!)

I don't have a wife.....any of you ladies into kinky sex and console games? Hey....maybe that is why I don't have one (most girlz suck at vid games!!!).

I'm mostly a PC gamer and really like Nintendo games....so the CUBE was the obvious choice for me....and I'm really happy with it.

However if that description doesn't apply to you....I would seriously consider the Xbox.

Note that if your interested in upcoming shooters like Doom 3 and Quake 4 and Unreal Warfare (later)......you'll definately want to play these on your PC....if you're serious about those "type" of games.

I'd go for Xbox myself, but that's only because I'd want Panzer Dragoon Orta more than I'd want Eternal Darkness. As it is though I have both systems so I'll get both games and be happy. 🙂

For games already released, then I'd go with Xbox. For future games, it really depends on how much you like First Party Nintendo and Sonic Team games. Since those are the best games coming out for the Cube in the near future. Star Fox, Mario Sunshine, Super Monkey Ball 2, PSO with GBA link for Nights, Eternal Darkness, etc. Xbox has many good games coming from the PC developer side if you don't want to or can't run the games on your PC. Also, you have good third party support for every genere except console RPG, but since you already have a PS2 that doesn't really matter. 🙂

If you've always been into Mario and slightly tamer games - GC. If you want something a little bit more adult and overall geared towards an older audience - XBox

I received the coupon in the mail...there is post in Hot Deals about it. Maybe someone there lives in your city and would give you theirs. It comes when you get a BB credit card I believe. Technically, game consoles are not included, but they are not very observant and I have used them on excluded items in the past.

I own a GC, but I just saw a preview of that Rocky game for X-Box and it looks awesome!

I would take Clubber Lang and just crush everyone.
