Should I get an LCD TV or an LCD computer monitor??

I'm a bit confused on this issue, so I figured I should ask for all your opinions. I recently bought a 360, and wanted to be able to set it up in my room to play when the other 2 tv's are in use. I do have a computer in my room, for which I have a 15" lcd monitor at the moment.
I figured that I should kill 2 birds with one stone, and get an HDTV so I can play both my 360, and use it as my computer monitor as well. However, I don't think I can get anything larger than a 20" HDTV because of the cost. But, I can probably get a decent size computer monitor for much less.

So my question is, Should I get a 20" monitor with an adapter to hook up the 360, or get a 20" HDTV? Would it be worth the extra money for the HDTV since I plan on using it as my computer monitor as well? I would really appreciate any input, thanks.
 
What's yer budget? Maybe you should look into a 20" widescreen LCD monitor. You get 1680x1050 resolution for your PC and 720P for your 360 if you use the VGA cable for it.

I'm really not looking to spend over 350, but will be glad to spend less.
 
you will only get 1280 x 720 or 1366 x 768 resolution from a small hdtv.
a 20 or 22" widescreen lcd monitor will give you 1680x1050.

the blackfriday bestbuy 22" westinghouse would've been an ideal solution for you. 🙁
 
The reading comprehension of the people in here is lacking, not the OP's post. It was pretty clear what he was asking if you actually read the post.

That being said, I would probably stay away from 20" LCD TVs. They aren't worth the money right now with all the deals for larger ones out there. I would go for the monitor. What kind of adapter lets you plug in a 360 though?

MS, and other various 3rd party accessory company, make VGA cables for the XBox 360.
 
circuit city has the acer 22" for 289, you might have luck with the $40 off coupon too.

you'd need to get an adapter for the xbox though since the acer doesn't have composite/component/svideo inputs.

You might as well throw in a tuner with that $100. A lot of crappy LCD TVs dont even come with hi-def tuners, so just grab a QAM tuner for like $150.

I vote for LCD Monitor, not TV.

Do you really want 1366x768 at 27" or 30"? That's ridiculous. I want 25x16 resolution with 30"

20" is a 1600x1200 resolution.

I hate laptops with XGA resolution. It's all about SXGA. That's why I refuse to use my computer on a TV screen.
