Well, DRM only applies to songs purchased from the *yuck* iTunes Music Store *yuck*. I could just as easily say that the Zen Touch has copyright laws that Apple doesn't, because of MSN Music, Napster, etc., all the WMA DRM music stores in existance.

I got a free 4gb mini from my bank. It does what it's supposed to do, and the price was certainly right, but if I were buying one, it wouldn't be an iPod.

as for the 5th generation, it's debateable if the most recent introduction of new photo ipods is actually a 5th generation ipod. (the link intogamer provided is the one i'm talking about.) apple hasn't given it a term, so it may be 4th generation second edition or something. who knows. 😕

in any event, as i said earlier, the price is great and ipods are fun. 🙂
