I almost bought my girlfriend a 1gb Creative Zen Nano Plus from Circuit City today. It was $129.99 + tax.. for 1gb. Then, I thought, for $229.99 (student discount) I can get a 4gb Nano. So for another $100 I got her 3gb more, bigger & color screen, and smaller profile. Sure it doesn't have an FM tuner but that is no biggie when you have 4gb of music on you.
I almost want to get one for myself now, but my mp3 player still works fine.

Right now, there really is not a flash player on the market that can compare. I wish there was... I really really like this Sony player, but again it's 1GB for $159.99 and you have to use Sony's crappy transfer software. If it was 4gb for $200 I would be all over it. http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Sony-Net...atOid/-12952/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do

And of course I also bought a clear case for her ipod nano.

I've got a 2nd Gen mini, but if I had the choice now, I would definately grab the 4GB nano. 2GB just seems a little too small.

But if you use the Sony software you get get almost 3GB of music onto 1 gig. I personally don't listen at 48kbps I listen at 64kbps but I don't think there is much if any difference, but im not an audiophile.
