Should I get an IPOD mini?

I just got one in a recent trade here on AT, and have to say its much cooler than I was expecting. It is quite a bit lighter than I thought it would be and has more features. The lcd/touchpad is just plain cool.

My Ipod got stolen and I replaced it with a Creative Zen Xtra...

Ipods rock.

They're really pretty and easy to use.

They're also expensive.

Yes, get it from the apple store though. Or online for a laser engraving. If you're a student, $20 educational discount brings it to a lovely price of $179.

Yes, I have TRIED their iPods, their iMacs, their G4, and some various notebooks. :thumbsdown:

For media players, there are much better and cheaper alternatives available to all these iPlayers.

I just got an Archos Gmini XS200, and I love it. It is tiny, and although not quite as cute as the iPod mini, it is 20GB, barely larger, and $210 + tax + shipping from newegg.

I don't even like Apple, but it's hard not to recommend an ipod, unless you have a specific need such as ogg playback.

Apple finally got one thing right, and they deserve credit for it.
