I purchased a used "Grade A" 21" Dell P1110 monitor from a reputable online store. (Which I shall not name)
The monitor looks brand new, but there are some other issues that concern me:
A tiny scratch/scrape/nick/whatever near the upper left hand corner (can not be cleaned off),
imperfect convergence near the corners (makes text in corners a little blurry, and can not be corrected via the controls),
geometry issues which can not be corrected via the controls (1-2mm difference at edges between upper left and right corners, and lower left and right corners),
and the occasional flickering shifts of color, sometimes the color remains a slight reddish hue before returning to normal. This can be very annoying sometimes.
I am trying to find out if I am just being too critical about this monitor, or if I have valid reasons to request an exchange for this monitor.
I really appreciate any input you guys may have. Thanks!
Edit: I am running in 1280x1024, and changing resolutions have no effect on the previously mentioned. Thanks.
Edit 2: I am running Windows 2000 with a Chaintech Geforce3 Ti200 64MB DDR. Thanks.
