Movin into the new appartment in August, I haven't had a water bed since I was like 6, when my parents got rid of my queen size water bed I got a single and have been in one ever since (including first year of college in dorms heh) Anyways my parents are letting me take furniture from their house (desk, bed, dresser etc) but the bed is only a single so I need to buy a new one anyways, should I go for a waterbed?

I love mine. I like being able to slide it a warm bed in the winter and cool bed in the summer.

We have a water bed in a spare room in our basement. I don't know how ANYONE could sleep on one. It never settles down, every time you take a breath, slish... slosh... You're sitting on waves... And if you turn over in the middle of the night, yeah... A title wave practically knocks you onto the floor.

In all honesy, if a bed can make me sea sick, I don't want to try to sleep on it every night...

Depends on the girl and how acrobatic the two of you are. At least that's my experience.

Here's an idea. Just take a pee in the bed you have now, sleep in it for a couple of nights, then make your decision about the waterbed.

I miss mine... had one for 15 years and absolutely loved it. Not the best for 2 people, unless you get the waveless... but I'd go back to one any day!

I'd say check your lease first to see if they're allowed or not. If they are, go for it. If they aren't, I wouldn't.

Hellz no! Not only are they a PITA to install/disassemble, they're a pain to maintain, and not very ergonomic. Get a good, pillow-top or tempurpedic matress and box springs. Your body will thank you

How are they a pain to maintain? I haven't done anything to mine new one in 3 years and I didn't do anything with my old one for the 10 years or so I had it other then patch the hole or two my parents cats put in it. I know there are tablets and things you are suppose to put in the water but who the hell actually does that.
