Should I get a waterbed?

Movin into the new appartment in August, I haven't had a water bed since I was like 6, when my parents got rid of my queen size water bed I got a single and have been in one ever since (including first year of college in dorms heh) Anyways my parents are letting me take furniture from their house (desk, bed, dresser etc) but the bed is only a single so I need to buy a new one anyways, should I go for a waterbed?

actually NO, its because they arnt used, hell they wernt even bought in the 70s, i slept on one for about 16 years, they are really nice

we dont use them anymore, i now have a futon - saves space, the other was my sisters, she is married and moved and didnt take the bed with her
 
god I hate waterbeds, they're the WORST when I've got a migraine. just won't fvcking stay still.

We have a water bed in a spare room in our basement. I don't know how ANYONE could sleep on one. It never settles down, every time you take a breath, slish... slosh... You're sitting on waves... And if you turn over in the middle of the night, yeah... A title wave practically knocks you onto the floor.

In all honesy, if a bed can make me sea sick, I don't want to try to sleep on it every night...
 
Here's an idea. Just take a pee in the bed you have now, sleep in it for a couple of nights, then make your decision about the waterbed.
 
I miss mine... had one for 15 years and absolutely loved it. Not the best for 2 people, unless you get the waveless... but I'd go back to one any day!
 
Hellz no! Not only are they a PITA to install/disassemble, they're a pain to maintain, and not very ergonomic. Get a good, pillow-top or tempurpedic matress and box springs. Your body will thank you :thumbsup:
 
How are they a pain to maintain? I haven't done anything to mine new one in 3 years and I didn't do anything with my old one for the 10 years or so I had it other then patch the hole or two my parents cats put in it. I know there are tablets and things you are suppose to put in the water but who the hell actually does that.
