Should I get a Rambus Motherboard?

I plan on building a new computer next month, and I'm definitely getting a P4.

I'm wondering if it's worth it to go ahead and get a Rambus board, probably the P4TE from Asus, intstead of a DDR board.

The prices are almost the same for the memory and the motherboard.

Is the Rambus memory better than the DDR memory?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Rambus has a higher memory bandwidth i guess
I think most people use DDR because of the very wide selection, and future upgrade path.. but for speed, Rambus is pretty good.. it's just not the most upgrade/price friendly, i guess now that the price is lower than it used to be though, it's become more worthwhile..

P4's perform best with Rambus memory and at its current price you can't go wrong with a RDRAM motherboard unless you plan of doing some massive overclocking in which case DDRAM is best.

The Pentium 4 shows the fastest performance with RDRAM.

You can't go wrong buying an ASUS P4T-E.

I would try to get a P4T with the 600 mhz clock generators if possible or wait for the 533 FSB version which is guaranteed to have it
