I like to game, but my main concern is having something that can handle 3d rendering which the tom's hardware review showed to have a huge performance increase. Currently on my whittle p4 i do everything iso and 2d b/c it just cant handle it. The next question is, how much of a PSU will I need for it w/ everything else in a desktop?

The Q6600 will do all your rendering, photo editing, dvd burning, multitasking, and gaming chores. Assuming you want the Q6600 it comes down to wether to get it July 22nd or wait until September when the next Intel price cuts happen. Your choice.

As far as psu size goes that depends on a number of things. Are you going to overclock? How many drives will you have? How many many video cards (SLI or CF)? Etc., etc., You havent given enough info for me to suggest anything.
