I want a solid socket 939 mobo and had been looking at the MSI K8N Neo2 a few weeks ago, but the price was a bit too high to justify for me. Although now that newegg has the refurbished mobos for $106.00 I am leaning heavily towards them. I noticed that this board seemed to perform middle of the pack to high in the pack in several comparison reviews. Although I do like Epox boards as well, I'm currently using one.

So what do you guys think? I need some profressional anandtech advice.

Unless it was just a n00b who didn't know how to set that finicky beast up, it could be as with many refurb boards that it was returned because it has issues and da egg doesn't test them. I'd pay the premium for new because if the refurb is borked the hassle and expense of TSing then RMA'ing isn't worth the cash you saved initially IMO.

Why do you suggest the EPoX EP-9NDA3J and not the EPoX EP-9NDA3+ ?

Is the only difference between the two the lack of onboard firewire?

one thing I've heard is that the 9nda3j doesn't have issues with the on-board lan like the 9nda3+
