So I'm guessing you're saying its not OK to like cars and computers, ehh? I hope you know that more people talk about car specs then computers. Any car conversation lasts much longer than a computer one. But I guess you have to interact with actual people to realize that.

If you don't like it, Yugo somewhere else.

Nissan power!
Shift! (In other words, get an auto and I will break into your garage, pull out the selection lever, go into your house, and beat you to death with it.

Have you ever experienced Nissan service? :disgust: thankfully the cars usually last for a long time (the VQ powerplant anyway) and you can avoid the dealer

maybe try the g35c instead, atleast Infiniti may treat you right...

LOL! NICE! :D

I don't know why everyone is saying, "if this is your only car, no". I'm buying a new car rather soon and the 350Z touring model in silverstone is my first pick. I'm a single guy, I have my own home, thus no roommates, and I buy few groceries. I just want a car that's fun to drive, and the 350Z touring 6spd is indeed fun.

I haul very little; may as well haul some ass...

If you're going to have a family, that thing won't haul them anywhere. People with just 1 baby even find family sedans unsuitable... they go into the minivan/small-size SUV market... just something to think about... you'll need another car, period. You buy the 350z in your situation, you'll have to buy a 2nd vehicle not too far down the road...

People with one baby don't need minivans/SUVs! They only think they do. Someone buying a 350z knows better. If you're going to have a kid though, get the G35 coupe for the back seat. If not, you will have to get another car, but is that really a big deal when $5000 will get you a good used sedan?

Might as well get a fun car BEFORE you are pussy whipped like my brother with the Suburban and Ford Escort wagon (88hp).

Btw, hatchback == space. I wish my 240sx had a hatch. The trunk + back seat = alot of cargo room, but it would be even better if there wasn't a trunklid and window between them! Actually, I'd like to remove my backseats to get some more space back there, but I don't want to look like a ricer!!

Sorry to crap on your parade......I already drove both a stick and an automatic. Ho humm. They're fast and look cute, but what else? There's a roll-bar thing that makes the hatch area almost useless. It doesn't even look like a midium-sized suitcase wouild fit there. Hate to go on a trip in one with a passenger.

Wintertime driving...forget it. It has an electronic traction control of sorts...but I bet it still won't go in the snow. The cheapest Sentra would run circles around it.

As long as you're under warrenty, I suppose you're ok. After that well.....This car has more electronic crap crammed in it than a space shuttle. I suspect even the dealers with training, and specialized test equitpment will have difficulties diagnosing all the problems likely to crop up.

Standard lubrication service will be hit and miss. For instance, It uses a special trans fluid.....you use anything else, your trans is toast.

Etc.

As a second car on nice summer days, driven occasionally...go for it...

Agreed. This is a rec. car. I would only get it for a second car. I priced them out too. It's hard to get a decent one for under $30k. You should budget about $35 or more. If you're really looking for one in NYC, I would probably suggest checking further up North. Maybe looking for one in New Hampshire and see if they'd ship it. It's going to be tough to find one in an area as populated as that. I think you'd be better off trying for a Yugo. :D

For the longest time when I was quite a bit younger, my parents had a four door Sprint that we got both of them + 3 kids in. We didn't need no stinkin' minivan :). I'd have to have four kids before I'd even consider a minivan as a family car. And even then I'd probably go for an SUV.

I wouldn't buy a 350z without some sort of fair weather vehicle personally. I'd feel bad about taking it out into the snow. For around $60k, I'd buy an xterra and the 350Z, two kickass vehicles that can get me anywhere and still have me looking good :)

Seriosuly, xenons are better than those headlights, and the 350z has the COOLEST ONES:D

If you want it and can afford it (either cash or a low finance rate) go for it.

Like everyone else stated, if you plan on getting married and having children, now is probably the time since you'll be in Mini-Van city in a few years.

Please go ahead and crap on my parade... this is the reason I'm posting this. I want more info from people who've driven the car.
