Should I format?

Windows 2000 right now and I get all kinds of bugs and glitches. I'll admit it, i'm a OS nazi and never gotten use to XP.. convince me to install XP 🙁 What I really like about it is just all those little things it lets you do i've noticed from working on it. And what about the SP2 thingy where if I use a certain key I can't install SP2..should I be worried about that?

You say you've never gotten to use XP, then say "i've noticed from working on it".

Are you debating between reformatting and reinstalling Win2K or debating about installing WinXP?

Debating to install XP, I never used it on my system before only worked on others with it on it. Seems ok to me but I dont' trust it like I trust my good ol win2k

The serial thingy for XP is for SP1, and applies to Corporate editions of XP only.

uh oh, im backing up and one of the hdds is making a high like static whiny sound, not exactly clicking though, but it's working and moving all the files fast without a problem.

How long has it been?

I've had installs of Win2k that were over a year old and didn't have any problems.

How long has it been?

I've had installs of Win2k that were over a year old and didn't have any problems.

6 months probably, I always vow to my self not to install crap I always end up doing though 🙁

Hey I was asking my self that too, don't get me wrong Wink2k kicks ass but i'm ready for change. Sometimes when the login screen comes up, my mouse will be really slow, lagging behind and the mouse jumps around the screen .0003 fps but everything opens fast and fine.
