pick up my uncles 94 Saab 900 turbo convertible manual. and drive it home?

all i have to do is pay ticket, and gas, car is free.

i want to, but i dont know what the car is worth really. i dont have a lot of info on the car, other than Saab, turbo 900, decent condition (rode in it this past summer) powered top, 5 spd manual. either 70K miles, or 120K i forget (yea, its a big difference). black IIRC.

tickets im guessing would cost 200$ max per person. so 400$ and gas costs for back.

yes, no?

Heck yea, a car for a little over 400 is good enough, not to mention the road trip to Cali..if you dont like the car, then when you get back, sell it

I can't believe this is even a decision for you. That car's worth at least a grand, and it's a Saab turbo to boot. Take some music for the drive back.

Fly out to California, pick up the car, and then find a job and an apartment and be glad you no longer live in Ohio :)

if you've got extra time make sure you plan a cool route.

taking the 80 across the country is pretty boring, there's not much except for a few buffalo bill graves.

no, thats just cali home.

yea, 2 weeks is a long ass time, my dad said that it would take a week driving 8 hours a day.

so i gave my maximum amount of time. it took my uncle (same on whom i am getting the car from) a full month to go out to cali.

two weeks is plenty of time, it only takes like 3 days of hard driving. have any friends or friends of friends or cousin's ex-wives' roommates' boyfriends that live around the country? it's a good excuse to go around and visit people for a couple days.

I drove from Santa Cruz, CAlifornia (Beach town about an hour south of San Francisco) to West Palm Beach, Florida (about as far east as you can go in this country) by myself in 4 days. You could do it in three days if you're just trying to get back as quickly as possible, but it won't be much fun.

Where in CA is the car? We can help you plan the trip back so it's interesting.
