should I finish watching Lost season 1? EDIT: This show is so stupid

I am on the third DVD, and it seems like the story is getting more and more ridiculous. (WTF french woman stranded for 16 years, but she still has electricity??) Also I hate it how they keep introducing plot twists/suspense themes to keep the audience guessing until the end..

The dilemma is if I keep watching, and the ending is stupid like: ohh there are aliens in the island, or the island is actually man made by a crazy lunatic, etc I would not have wasted my time

Oh please do not spoil the ending if its good, I just want to know if I should continue watching...

EDIT: ok I watched a couple more episodes and I find the whole show to be ridiculously stupid (introduction of new stories, dropping of old stories, etc). Then I broke down and tried to find spoilers online.. lo and behold, most of the stories are not even resolved up until now (season 3). This is like a stupid soap opera that keeps going on and on and on... I dont even think the producers of this show have written the entire script.. they just make stories up as they go along.

God I cant believe I already wasted hours of my time on this POS...
 
no, you don't want to be in the "i am so disappointed but I guess I have to keep watching so maybe I can see what happens" phase the rest of us are in.
 
Funny that you mention it... My wife just finished the DVDs of the first season. I've never seen the show but caught bits and pieces once in a while and thought it was pretty ridiculous. It gets a good following though, thats for sure. It just seemed to over the top for my taste though.
 
If you are losing intrest now, don't bother with any more of it. You'll just be pissed that there is no closure to any storyline.
 
There is a lot of crazyness, if you don't like it then the show probably isn't for you. But personally I think its worth watching all of them right up until the current episode. Theres some good action and suspense and interesting character development.

so from season 1 to season 2, they use the same characters??
 
Watch the last 2-3 episodes of Season 1. Most of the stuff in the middle is foo-foo character development.

I like the show a lot... not as much as I did during season 1 and 2 but it's still better than 90% of the bullsh!t that's out there. Plus, Kate is hot as fvck.

Kate is the only saving aspect of this show..

The suspense/thriller drama at first intrigues me, but after I realized that they will never resolve any story lines (and keep introducing new ones) I got pissed.
 
I gave up after the first 3 boring episodes. I am a huge sci fi fan. It is a terribly written show made for people who want a soap opera.

yep at first I thought this was a thriller drama of some sorts.. but then realized that its a friggin soap opera :|
 
I don't worry too much about the unanswered questions. Either they will answer them, or they wont. I just enjoy the action, the pace, the little side stories. Its entertaining. Stop getting so hung up on trying to understand and just sit back and enjoy 😛
