I was looking on newegg and saw the xfx 7800gt for 279 AR. I could sell my 6600gt and buy this bad boy. I keep hearing how awesome it is. What is the minimum PS you need to run this? Sorry I am somewhat of a noob to gaming and I just built my first pc. Thanks for your input.

a good 400watt psu should do. it might or it might not be a good buy depending on what cpu you have. an old cpu will bottleneck the new video card.

Depends on how much load rest of the system takes. I'm guessing 300~350W will get you by with an average setup, one or two hard drives, an optical drive etc. 7800GT is 3 to 4 times faster than your 6600GT so if you need to upgrade your PSU, I personally would do it.

Yea I don't have that killer of a setup. Only one hard drive, dvd burner, gig of value ram, and thats about it

If you can sell 6600Gt, I'd do it. Overclocked, 7800GT is about as fast as 7800GTX that costs a whooping $450.
