Have everything needed to do this mod, just not sure if I should!

I believe there's someone that sells vinyls that stick to the outside, so it will still light up.

If you use cellophane it will still light up if you do it internally but yea, the external sticker is the better idea, less work.

Its not a sticker its a colored overlay that fits in between the LCD and the back of the logo, light still shows through. Looks completely OEM.

Not worried about risking anything, my macbook use to be white, I converted it to a blackbook by swapping out all the casing, I have taken apart this macbook completely no less then 4 times.

Well, then if you have the experience, then I say go for it. Not totally my cup of tea, but if you like it, do it.
