Should I ditch my regular 27'' crt for a 32'' LCD HDTV?

I have a wii and view standard television signals. Would it matter much for the Nintendo Wii and DVD's?

The widescreen will be nice for DVD's and the picture should be as good or better. For SD, it can look pretty crappy. I'd buy it locally so you can try it out.

I've been thinking about the same thing. At 27" a 4:3 screen is actually taller then a 32" 16:9 screen.

I have a 27" Sony Wega CRT and hook up my Wii with the regular RCA cables. For some reason, the component inputs don't work properly on my TV.

I tried the component cables on my girlfriend's 37" Sharp Aquos LCD and it was noticeably nicer looking. The Wii also has native resolutions for wide screen TVs, so you won't be stretching the image.

Yes. Seem like 32" lcd goes for less than $500 these day.
