Should I contest this parking ticket?

What's your point? Yes that's their law. It wasn't posted anywhere on the street so unless I googled the city law before parking I would have never known.

I looked around in streetview. There are green and white signs about every block.

Yup.

The next renewal of your registration from the CA DMV will have the additional fees (late fees included) tacked on. Can't renew registration without paying the ticket.

Pay it.


I imagine that this is the fee that needs to be paid due to people living in the RVs or other vehicles and parking on public streets... and Alhambra wants to keep them out.

I found that out at 16 yrs old when I had an opened beer can in the car.
