All of our cats used to poop in the garden and bury it.

Why it only craps in my garden I don?t know, but I?ve decided it?s now time to take action!

You can't shave the cat because it's illegal, but the law makes no sense. If you did the "legal" thing and took it to the pound, they'd just put it to sleep, which is a lot worse than being shaved.

So you can either:

1. Be a criminal and shave the cat, which would serve as a warning to the owners, or

2. Do the legal thing and call animal control. It'll be taken to the pound and be euthanized, which is cruel imo.

Or you can

3. Talk to the owners who probably won't give damn.

I hope you get caught and charged with animal cruelty if you do it and sued to boot. Oh, no my lawn is so precious and a cat pooped on it, lol grow up. You probably have wet dreams about your lawn; one of those wackos.

If your lawn is so precious to you then put up a fence.

Second, if you ever touched one of my cats without talking to me first and asking me to keep it off my lawn you would have to deal with me...maybe I'd shave your head. ;)

On that thought...here is something that you might try...you know something that might work...something that could be an easy feasible solution...TALK TO THE OWNER.

You are thinking about this the wrong way. He as a property owner has no obligation to purchase something and go out of his way to make sure a cat doesn't crap on his property. The cat owner has the obligation to control his animal. This means not letting it run around unsupervised. If someone thinks that their cat should be able to run where it pleases, they face the risk of their cat being injured/killed, from a car, another animal, or a person. Again, it is the pet owner's responsibility.

How about his jackass neighbors keep their cat off of his property?

Why are you siding with the party who is in the wrong?

The pet owner has a legal obligation to control their cat. The property owner has no obligation to clean up after someone else's cat.

If he really wanted to be mean, he could do the 100% legal thing and call animal control. They'll take it to the pound and it will most likely be euthanized since most people don't want to adopt a fully grown animal (most people want puppies/kittens).

Precisely. But cats are @$$h0l3s and will keep on doing what they please.

I don't give a sh!t about my front lawn, but I also don't like having a cat constantly crapping on my front lawn either.

It?s not the nicest sight when I have guests over.

Once or twice a week, go out with a shovel and move it to their lawn.

First off try talking to the owner. It might actually work.

If that doesn't work get a super soaker or an airsoft pistol. The cat will learn not to sh!t in your lawn.

christ, the hubris of mankind-- angry at animals when they act like animals.
sorry the cat doesn't know about your imaginary property line.
why not relax a little? there are more important things to worry about than a little cat poop on grass.

How about all you lawn lovers subscribe to some lawn lover porn sites instead. What a bunch of babies crying about a cat pooping on their lawn. Oh, no!

Heck why not call the pound about the rabbits, squirrels, moles, voles, shrews, snakes, bugs, birds, chipmunks, rats, mice, frogs and the plethera of other wildlife that craps, pisses, crawls, scampers, burrows, runs and walks on your lawn while your at it. What a bunch of silly twisted stuck up whiners.

On that note the cat helps keep those vermin in check for you and you want to shave it, sigh.

You can kill the rabbits, squirrels, moles, voles, shrews, snakes, bugs, birds, chipmunks, rats, mice, frogs if you grew tired of them in your yard.

BTW, I haven't seen you actually propose a solution to this problem. All you've done is blast the people who see a problem with a cat pooping in their yard.

Knowing that it's illegal to let your cat crap on someone else's property, and knowing that the home owner does not intend to put up with it, what do you suggest be done to remedy this situation?

Then you have no problem with him trapping the cat just like all the other animals you listed and taking it to the pound to get put down. Or putting down deadly poisons in your yard to kill them.

Glad we could find a way to settle this.

And again, you're missing the glaringly obvious point. The pet owner is responsible for their pet, which includes not letting it sh!t wherever it wants outside of their property.

Make sure you write your local government to remove laws that fine people for not cleaning up after their pets on public property.

HAHA, that?s genius. I might have to invest in a few of those even if they are an unsightly addition to my front lawn ? still, they'd look better than cat sh!t everywhere that's for sure.

Unfortunately the owner is an inept 60+ year old lady. I?m sure talking to her will yield no effect on the situation, so I shan?t waste my time trying to resolve the situation through her.
