I already have Portal. Freebie for buying an NVIDIA video card a while back. I also got HL2eathmatch and HL2:Lost Coast or something like that. I was playing Deathmatch last night for a while and it was fun except that I consistently was dying at about a 3:1 rate.

I think I'll go ahead and buy TF2 this weekend and give it a go.

Are you sure you got the full version of Portal? I know there was a promotion nVidia was doing where they were giving away an extended demo of Portal call Portal: First Slice. Link

TF2 is well worth it. Stick with the PC version, since last i heard the 360 version isn't getting the class updates.

You are correct. It is First Slice. It has I think 11 levels.

I bought the Orange Box last night. I'm not doing too bad either. I've scored as high as 2nd on my team in a 16x16 game earlier today. Not bad for someone who hasn't really played FPS games before.

The game is good and it's getting better as they're putting out the new class packs. Sure it might be a little stacked in some servers where everyone is trying to farm out the new items but eventually all the class packs will be out and the amount of extra content will essentially double.
