should I buy from best buy or amazon...

I could save about $100 buying a nikon camera and lens package off of amazon vs. best buy... But I have $15 in coupons for best buy and a rewards zone card. That purchase will net me $10-$15 more in reward zone coupons.

Is the savings from amazon worth not getting the camera from a brick and mortar store?? Its not going to kill me to pay a little more.. I know people that work up at the best buy i'd get it from, so if I have issues with the camera down the road, I'll have an in..

100 savings > 15 + 10-15.

I never pay B&M price for electronics unless I need it immediately; like the video card in my dad's server not working. No server = no billing. Waiting on a video card from NewEgg would've cost him way more than the extra $20 I paid to grab the card at Circuit City.

Does Amazon charge you sales tax in your state? If so, I would get it from a B&M store so I could just walk in and exchange it if something is wrong with the camera.

Additionally, have you checked the prices around the other online stores? There a reputable stores like B&H, BuyDig, Beach Camera, Adorama, etc.

There are many online stores you can buy digicams from. Some of the more reputable e-retailers are even cheaper than Amazon. But most of the time I just buy it from Amazon 'cause of no tax and free shipping.

I'd go with Amazon... better company to begin with IMO, and you won't have to even leave your house, it'll come to you.

Amazon, using Amex. Amazon has excellent customer service, as does American Express. Can't say that about Best Buy, and it's usually easier to resolve w/ the merchant.

Amazon. You will save more that way and you won't get hassled 5x for not buying the service plans before you get to the register.
