Should I buy a VOODOO 3 ?

I can get a new in the box one for $90. VooDoo 3 3000

Maybe I should put this in the hardware section but I really want the pros/cons of this card, not the technical specs. I can do an analysis myself but considering the PRICE is it a worthwhile item to own? I know it will be better than what is in the particular computer I am thinking about putting it in.

you can get a Voodoo3 2000 agp for $69 new, you're probably looking at a Voodoo3 3000. I'd get one, (I have a V3 2000 and I love it)

Hmmm, the V3 3000 will be better for UT engine based games and at a lower price. It has a lifetime warranty. That's pretty cool. It's very well supported driver-wise.

I'd like to know which GeForce you guys would recommend. I see a "Cardex" 32 Meg NIVIDA AGP, GEFORCE 2 MX Retail Box for $119 and "Guillemot" 32 Meg AGP, 3D GEFORCE2 MX OEM for $139.

If your gonna play an unreal engine based game, say Deus Ex, you can't go wrong with the V3. Frankly it's still a damned good value.

The v3 2000's are $60 at office depot with rebate. You could easily oc it to 3000 speeds. And if all you play is glide games, go for it.

You should really have a look see over at FS/FT, there is usually a GeForce of some flavor for sale or trade everyday, and the prices can be pretty good.
