Should I Buy A New PSU ?

My Current Setup :

Intel E6400 @ 2.4GHz (can do 3.2)
Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3
2 GB (2x1GB) Patriot DDR2-800
NEC DVD Burner
ATI X800XL
Hitachi 80GB SATA
Hitachi 250GB SATA
Zalman CNPS9500 LED
Lian Li Case with 2x120mm case fans
Floppy Drive
OCZ 450W Modstream

While I've experienced no trouble out of this PSU, I've always thought it was a bit on the light side. If I was going to keep the system as it is, I wouldn't consider buying a new PSU, however, I am thinking of buying a 7800GTX or something similar and I'm wondering if that might be pushing the limits of this PSU. I was shopping around for a new PSU on Newegg and so far this is my favorite. The only issue I have is that it doesn't have modular cables and I guess I'd miss the lovely blue glow the modstream emits inside my case (windowed). So, do you think I should upgrade the PSU before purchasing the video card? If so, should I go for that PSU or are there modular ones that I can expect similar quality from?

If you've read this far, I thank you for your time 🙂

I run about the same hardware with a 430watt Antec TruePower 2 PSU. I know what ppl say about this PSU and Antec PSus in general but for $30 at a computer show brand new it was a hel of a deal and it works fine.

I run a x1900xt overclocked to xtx speeds which is a bit more demanding than what you have.

don't get a 7800gtx... the 7900gt is the same performance, uses less power, and is a lot cheaper. You will be fine.

No problem, at one time, there was a special on the 7800gtx, for $200 shipped @ some site. Only lasted 2 weeks and they were sold out like THAT. Oh well, the 7900gt will be down to that soon anyway.
