Should I buy a DELL or ACER monitor based on brand reliability?

Definitely Dell.. Acer is a cheap monitor.. I'm looking at a 23" Acer I had to grab when my Samsung died. I sure miss the color purity & depth.. Dell is much better, especially for longevity.. I still have a Dell 20" that's been passed around that refuses to die, and colors are still rich & deep..

^ thank you so much friend.

I currenty have a HP 2509M monitor 25" with glossy screen its beautiful BUT its starting to die after 4 years and 14,000 hours on the backlit.

I want to stay away from HP and anyother brands that die this fast.

I will buy the DELL 24" 🙂

Brands don't die fast, it's the components used that die.
Even so called great brands have been the victims of faulty components supplied by their vendors.

I bought an Acer 19" for my family computer and it has served well, in fact, I just added it to my business PC as a 2nd monitor (paired with my Samsung) and bought a 24" Acer for the family PC. The Acer is a decent monitor... put next to my Samsung you can see the differences (especially viewing angle and color saturation) but I could probably monkey with the settings and alleviate some of that... but the Acer was less than half the cost of the Samsung, so I don't expect it to be as nice as the Sammy.

You largely get what you pay for... an $89 monitor of any brand is, pretty much, an $89 monitor... with suitable usability and durability.
