Should I buy a dell now, or wait?

I am looking at buying a dell inspiron 700m ? taking advantage of the $500 off $1399 which expires on the 8th. However I?m hesitant that as soon as I purchase it, Dell will come out with a better deal.

Right now I?ve got a system configured at roughly $910 ($1410 before coupon) ?

I?ve got 2 days before the coupon expires. Do I go ahead and bite the bullet or wait it out and hope another better deal comes along within the next 2-3 weeks.

So who here is familiar with the dell coupon trends? How often to the really hot deals show up?

I will wait for the $750 off $1499 coupon. By the way remember that with dell you will never feel good about the deal you get. They keep changing the deals every month and it keeps getting better and better. You have to decide if you can wait or not and is it going to be worth it.

They WILL have another $750 off $1499 coupon. It may be a couple months, but it will come around again. If you can wait until the end of the quarter at the latest (July), you should be golden.

If your state charges tax for Dell Home(which most does), then Dell Small Business has a $750 of $1499 right now.
It works.

I would wait for another $750 off $1499

Two suggestions when you do order your 700m:
1) Don't be cheap, upgrade to the 2 year at-home warranty it's only +$100 more
2) Get the 8 cell battery, roughly 4.5-5 hours of battery life

There will always be a cheaper computer.

Fact is though what you buy your computer to do, it will always do. Things require better things in the future and the like but your machine will keep doing it's hired role.

Never buy a Dell . . .
you can dig a better one out of the trash . . .

or just sit back and build your own - much more powerful for the money.

A $ 1,200 home build crushes a $ 2,300 Dell - and is able to be updated.

why would they forget to take off the rebate? If they did, someone would probably lose their job.

Wow, it's quite amazing how you've taken your rambling, idiotic P&N attitude to OT and HD now. Way to make yourself look like an idiot yet again.

Even if he was talking about desktops, you would still be talking out your a$$. Building your own PC is great, but you are not likely to save money over a Dell deal.

Missed that about the Laptop , but anyway . . Dell's not the best, and their glut market price is a tease.

Personally I usually (used to) recomend the Dell as a laptop, but I find them to be lacking.
Dell

A better product would be the Toshiba

From Newegg - it might be less.

Take your best shot, find a deal.

If you get charged tax for Dell Home, do the $750 off on Dell Small Business.
You get the DVD burner and 512mb upgrade for free if you're looking at the 700m

Isn't the Dell Small Business $750 off dead?
