Can anyone offer an opinion?

Please criticise this.

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
- I want to play games like Quake, UT3, COD4.

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
- 1100 to 1500 dollars

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
America

4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.
- Intel, Nvidia

5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
- No

6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
- Yes

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
- Yes, overclocking

Thanks guys, i appreciate the nice words.

i know i can find seperate parts i included at different sellers... but what did you guys think of the "system" itself.

Will it be a good system for years to come? Should i wait for the new AMD stuff to come out in 2 weeks?

Would yall have gone with D3 memory over the D2?

The folks at Tiger did not admit to having G0 stepped quads... ( i honestly do not think the guy knew what i was talking about) Should i MAKE SURE i get a G0 stepped quad chip?

Here is an email i got from a buddy of mine on the system i posted:

Raugh I think you would do better with this. http://www.tigerdirect.com/app...ails.asp?EdpNo=3354006 This is their top of the line Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 Processor bundle - FREE Sword of the New World PC Game, Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 Processor 3.0GHz Retail. It cost close to the same price as the bundle deal you were looking at. BUT here is why I think the this CPU. It is dual core not quad core, but it is running 600Mhz faster for each core AND the BUS speed is 300MHz faster also. You could still use that MB if you wanted because it had a BUS speed of 1333MHz.

I know it cost more but I would buy 4GB of RAM and not 2. You see VISTA does take a lot more RAM. Also with a MB with only 2 RAM slots you would have to throw away 1 or 2 of your sticks if you wanted to upgrade in the future.

Besides that everything looks great.

I would stick with the quad core...but I wouldn't get a 680i board unless I really wanted to go SLI right off the bat. I would stick to an intel chipset.

I dun like the build ... So much junk you don't need, a frigging 8800gts for 300$ when a 260$ 8800gt could kill it and use less power too. SLI mobo, bah, p35 all the way. Expensive ram, 2gb can be had for 50$ AR. Thermaltake HSF ? It won't be much good for 30$, buy a tuniq tower instead. And if not overclocking, use the retail HSF or a arctic freezer 7 pro if you want less noise. Dunno bout the case either. Ultra's aren't halfbad PSU's, although I'm not sure about all of them, would have to look it up. Not sure if the ultra in that case is the same as a Ultra X-Finity or Ultra X3, but if not, then I don't think I would want it.

I agree with MarcVenice on this one, also I would not buy from Tiger (their prices are ok but their service is terrible, or at least it has been in the past).
