How feasible is it to buy or even build a kegerator type thing so we can just buy a $50 keg and have it last a week or so (i think they let you keep it for 10 days)
Prices on buying?
Is it easy enough to convert/build one?
i take it you have a lot of housemates!
they are easy to build. Just buy a CO2 tank, regulator, and tapper. Then connect it all up and put into an extra refrigerator. Tapped beer.
Some friends of mine did this. The fridge had a tally/tab sheet on the outside of it so you could just keep a running total and contribute accordingly. If you really want to get fancy then all you need to do is drill a hole in the fridge door or wall and install a bar style tap.
All of this stuff can be bought at your local beer making store.
