Should I avoid the cheaper tire places?

I drove to NTB and they said to drop off the car and give them the keys and they would be done with my car in 3 weeks.

Turns out the manager has hired only 2 people and their lot is totally stuffed with cars and he mentions how hard they are working. It is a rip off scam to be only having 2 employees! When you have more than 50 cars waiting for tires then it is a clear sign of a rip off and they are too cheap to hire any help. NTB should have hired 15 people to get all 50 cars done in a jiffy.

Publix Supermarkets combined with Costco, Amazon, and Discount Tire would be the one store to rule them all.

There aren't enough hours in a day for me to go to a store like that. But I would love one near work for me to just browse sections at a time during lunch.

Discount Tire has consistently been just slightly cheaper than Tire Rack and has always been good around here. By contrast, Tire Works has a terrible rep.

Discount tire is not a good place. They up sell you even if you don't need a tire. I had a tire they said that I need replacement and non repairable. I repaired it myself and that was 2 years ago.

I'm a "lifer" with DT at this point, they repaired a tire for free and I had not bought the hazard warranty. I watch them actually use a torque wrench on the lug nuts, free rotations too. Yea, my last set I got there they did try and "upsell" me into a set of Goodyears but that's just part of his job, I replied, "no thanks" and that was it, he didn't persist to bug me.

Never had discount tire try to upsell me anything. In fact, I mentioned the prices were cheaper online and they offered to knock money off to compensate. It's my favorite tire place to go to anymore, better than Big O or any of the other chains.
