Should Guys Still Pay For First Dates?

It's cheaper to plan a date in a restaurant that's closed on a particular day of the week and just order a pizza. This is all clearly outlined in the D.E.N.N.I.S. System.

Wife says no, I can't pay for any more first dates, in fact, she doesn't approve of me dating ANY other women at all!

In a perfect world the person who extends the invite should pay, but it's a norm that the guy pays and I don't see that going away anytime soon. One of the traps a lot of people seem to fall into is going to an expensive restaurant on the first date to try to impress their date. I would just keep it casual - coffee shop, walk through the park, candlepin bowling. Why get locked into an expensive hour+ meal on the chance you two won't even connect?

Lucky for me I don't date. Such a scam.

If the guy pays, does he still have to open her car door first when they leave the restaurant?

This is based on the assumption he has no more money to valet since he paid for her meal...
