You'd love that, wouldn't you?

So... Trump blasting Nordstrom is fine because it's his personal opinion, Trump using term "so-called judge" is also fine that's just personal opinion, Trump openly criticizing any judgement not in his favor is also fine and dandy, but RBG making personal statement suddenly means she can't be impartial? Dude, can you even see your own hypocrisy?
He's not a Judge and he's not required to be impartial. I have commented and not favorably about Trump's penchant for sounding off about minor annoyances.

Glad to see that you finally admit it's not the law that President Trump has to show his tax returns. It's taken you months , but some people are slow learners. Maybe you can thank Betsy DeVos for your new wisdom.

I never denied it.
I am concerned about what happens next and what happens with future elections.

I'll take it you are not accepting the deal.

She apologized end of story. One of the most foolish things a public figure can do is repeat something already dealt with if for no other reason that it gives an impression of a continuing issue.

Ginsberg is fine.

The big call for Ginsberg's potential recusal was if the Clinton/Trump election had been thrown to the Supreme Court a la the Bush/Gore election in 2000.

It didn't, but there remains some lingering resentment for her intemperate remarks.

Snowflakes like imported_tajmahal have their feelings hurt very easily. I always find it funny that the people who complain about PC culture are often the most sensitive people of all.
Just more projection from the right. If you want to know what they are really doing look at they accuse the "lefties" of doing.

I think all supreme court justices should get a retention vote every 2 years. Then if the majority of the people say no retention then they are history. Currently there are no checks and balances for federal, federal appeals and supreme court justices. The american people deserve to be able to get rid off even life-time appointed judges.

That's a terrible idea. That would throw the whole legal system in disarray, there would be no continuity or consistency from the court, it would change with the whims of the public every couple of years and make scotus justices even more political than they are now. There would be campaigns and money donations etc, and they'd be beholden to all sorts of interests and popularity considerations. As bad as some of the justices are, I would be very much opposed to getting rid of them if they aren't popular enough.

terrible idea. Any thought of judgeships being elected by the people in any capacity should be thoroughly removed throughout the country. The concept of elected judges (or being "reviewed by citizens") is perhaps the most corrupting influence on justice and constitutional law that you will see in this country.

Due to her intemperate remarks about then candidate Trump should Justice Ginsburg recuse herself from the first test in his presidency ? Even though she apologized for those rude remarks.
http://fortune.com/2016/10/19/presidential-debate-donald-trump-supreme-court-ginsburg/
or her remarks about having to move to New Zealand if Donald Trump is elected.
http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box...er-ginsberg-if-trump-wins-time-to-move-to-new
Is the law that clear?
28 U.S. Code 455 that says "Any justice, judge, or magistrate judge of the United States shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned."
It's my opinion that her impartiality in regards to a Trump action can certainly be reasonably called into question. I seriously doubt if she will, but there should be calls on her to do so in this upcoming test of the Supreme Court.
