Almost everyone would just make up a name and because of that it probably wouldn't do much to control stupid posts. I think that strategy can work on smaller, more local boards though. There's so many people on AT it really wouldn't make a difference.

My old boss's real name is mentioned in the first paragraph as not being allowed. His name is Adam Baum. I wonder what would happen if he signed up there. Whould he have to show ID?

People make up their nickname because I suppose they like to be called that. I just like to be called my real name, hence my username. :confused:
