Should 1600x1200 on a 21" monitor look blurry and incredibly small?

I'm using a GF2 GTS with the RGB cable that came with the monitor. I've never had any problems with generic RGB cables.

Could be your video card, older nvidia cards had horrible RAMDACs generally, you'd be better off grabbing an old 3dfx or matrox card for 2d work, or just about any radeon from 8500 and onwards.(though the geforce's from fx and onwards are supposed to have good 2d too)
