I'm turning 21 soon and I'm planning a road trip to vegas... my parents have reserved a hotel for me, however I can't find a good car rental place that'll rent to people under 25!

BTW, how much does it usually cost to rent a full sized car including insurance and all? Friends have told me ~$400, but online it comes out to be around ~$600 (around July 5-12 from the los angeles area, unlimited miles)... do internet deals suck that much? should I just go to AAA and see what they can offer?

the costs depends on how many days and the milage you plan to put on the car.

Have your parents rent the car for you.

most credit cards include rental car insurance as part of their services. you don't need to pay for it again when you rent the car unless you know your card doesn't include it. it's just another scam they're using to get your money.

I think that most of the national places will rent to 21 year olds, the only thing is that they charge you an underage fee of $xx.xx per day.

When I wanted to rent a car about 6 months ago (I am 22, was 21 at the time), Enterprise had the cheapest rate for < 25.

I'm going for an entire Week! :D  I was tenatively thinking July 5-12 (right after I graduate college, and after the July 4th madness)

however, I might need another day so that I'm not in a rush to return it...

I know enterprise will, but its an additional $25 a day. If you go on the weekends it will be much cheaper

I can put it under my parents name?

Note: I'm turning 21, going to vegas, graduated from college, therefore you can assume that I don't want my parents to go :D

The price for under 25 ranges from $10 to $30 a day. Check FW's travel forum for deals on rental cars.
