Actually, to be technically correct, it's "And knowing is half the battle" 😀

Start a sentence with a preposition?! blasphemy!!!
Conjunction junction - what's your function?

Think about it. You're a clerk behind a counter. You see somebody steal a twinkie. You ask him what he's doing. He's saying he's not doing anything. You want to threaten him, so take out the shotgun, hoping he'll be smart enough to just give the twinkie back or pay for it. He laughs at you, thinking it's only a bluff. What are you going to do? Call the cops and report a twinkie has been stolen?

I guess it could have gone like this: You're a clerk behind a counter. You see somebody steal a twinkie. You tell him to hand it over, or pay for it. He laughs and leaves. You go on the phone, tell the police somebody has stolen a twinkie. They laugh at you and hang up.

Tell that to the writers 😉

while I agree with force over theft, the problem comes from did he really see him steal it or did the guy really steal it.

I have been accused of setting a bus seat on fire and attacked by the freaking bus driver as the cops boarded the bus (I didn't know what was happening, the bus drove into the police station and stopped, she started walking back to my seat as the cops got on)....

anyways no fire, no matches nothing....I have no idea other than she wasn't our bus driver anymore. Maybe in her mind she saw me torching the bus, but in reality it never happened.

One thing's for sure. No one will be stealing any twinkies there any time soon. Score for the clerk.

I don't think anyone's stealing ANYTHING from there anytime soon :Q

I think everyone will be so scared, no one will dare take a penny from the "take-a-penny leave-a-penny" dish 😛
